Civil Drones Innovative Programme SMEs: 8BELLS

8BELLS is an innovative, high-tech SME specializing in custom software engineering, edge computing, advanced AI solutions as well as stabilized EO/IR Gimbals for autonomous vehicles . With operational divisions in Cyprus and Greece, we focus on bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and real-world deployment in the ICT sector. We leverage over a decade of deep-tech expertise to build robust, highly secure intelligent systems for critical civilian and dual-use ecosystems.

The THERMAL-ID project focuses on integrating advanced edge-AI software with uncooled thermal imaging sensors onto autonomous drone platforms. By deploying deep-learning algorithms directly on the aircraft's edge-computing hardware, the system enables highly precise target tracking and automated re-identification in real-time. This eliminates the dependency on heavy cloud infrastructure, providing rapid, localized situational awareness in complex or compromised environments
