NVICON is a Greek deep-tech company based in Athens, specialising in the design and manufacture of advanced navigation hardware modules, embedded sensing systems, and AI-driven processing platforms for unmanned aerial vehicle integration. Its work covers four areas: custom multi-modal sensor arrays and real-time data acquisition for drones and ground vehicles; robotic platforms with on-board edge AI for real-time perception, and autonomous decision-making in challenging environments; applied electrophysics and high-voltage engineering, EMC, pulsed power, and energy conversion for aerospace and advanced manufacturing; and AI-driven process optimisation platforms using machine learning.
NVICON is developing a spoofing-resilient navigation module for civil and dual-use drones, combining Galileo OSNMA cryptographic authentication, AI-driven anti-spoofing detection, and visual-inertial odometry fallback. When no trustworthy GNSS signal is available, the system switches to visual-inertial odometry, fusing inertial measurements with onboard camera data to sustain autonomous flight and safe recovery.
