Outrevol is an aerial robotics company whose mission is to rethink the way we operate at height.
Our goal is to improve the time, the costs and the security of theses operations.
To do so, we developed the Rover-Drone, a new generation of robotic system capable not only to fly to quickly access hard-to-reach environments such as wind turbine, bridge, dams, reservoirs, fuselage and ship hulls, but also to land on vertical surfaces, to crawl along it, and to perform physical operations directly onto the structure.
Its applications include Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) using embedded sensors, cleaning with integrated brushes and water jets, and maintenance operations using airless painting, welding tools, and many others.
Through the ECDI program, Outrevol is currently working on :
Integrating high-value technical NDT sensors to enable inspections that comply with high industry standards.
Integrating a power supply station to support continuous operation during extended missions.
Implementing orientation capabilities, allowing the Rover-Drone to maintain contact and operate on inclined and curved structures such as ship hulls and aircraft fuselages.
We are proud to be part of the ECDI program which will permit us to demonstrate the full potential of the Rover-Drone in the dual industry.
Main application area / technology field
Wind turbines, bridges, dams, tanks and silos, nuclear power plants, ship hulls and aircraft fuselages, are all 30, 40, or 50 years old assets that are reaching a critical phase of their lifecycle.
The priority is to maintain them in operational condition to ensure continued production.
To achieve this, it is important to inspect them to verify their integrity, clean them regularly to optimize their long-term performance, and repair them to extend their service life.
The Rover-Drone is specifically designed to be deployed on these assets and perform inspection, cleaning, and maintenance operations.
