Stratowave Connect is a Croatian deep-tech company focused on advanced unmanned aerial systems, hybrid propulsion technologies, and high-performance wireless communications. The company develops HYPER-M, an innovative direct-hybrid propulsion architecture for multirotor UAVs designed to significantly improve endurance and efficiency compared to conventional hybrid solutions. In parallel, Stratowave Connect develops specialized wireless networking technologies for demanding environments. The company participates in international R&D and dual-use innovation projects within the European ecosystem.
HYPER-M is an advanced direct-hybrid propulsion platform for multirotor UAVs, based on mechanical power transmission from a single central combustion engine to multiple propellers combined with intelligent electrical power management. Unlike conventional indirect hybrid architectures with high electro-mechanical conversion losses, the system is designed to achieve transmission efficiency in the range of 80–90%, enabling substantially extended endurance exceeding 10 hours together with increased payload capacity. The architecture is scalable across different UAV sizes and configurations, starting from approximately 15 kg platforms and upward.
Direct-hybrid propulsion systems for long-endurance multirotor UAVs. The technology is designed as a scalable and platform-agnostic solution applicable across a wide range of UAV classes and mission profiles currently served by electric multirotor platforms. Scalability includes support for different UAV weight categories, starting from approximately 15 kg platforms and upward, as well as adaptability to a variety of multirotor sub-types including conventional multirotors, tilt-rotors, tilt-wings, and related VTOL configurations. Primary application areas include maritime and critical infrastructure inspection, persistent aerial monitoring, security operations, and dual-use unmanned aerial systems requiring endurance measured in hours rather than minutes.
