At the first EU Clusters Talks of 2026, ECDi was introduced as a part of Strand 2 of the Euroclusters, 16 cross-sectoral initiatives launched by the European Commission to strengthen EU value chains, support SMEs, and accelerate the green and digital transitions.

To introduce the new Euroclusters that focus on different strategic value chains, the European Cluster Collaboration Platform, on behalf of the European Commission, hosted the EU Clusters Talk: “Joint Cluster Initiatives: Presenting the new Euroclusters in Strand 2” on 14 January, from 08:30 to 10:00 CET. This session gave an overview of the Euroclusters, outlined their objectives and scope, and discussed how clusters and their members can actively engage in and benefit from these ambitious European initiatives.
